Senior Associate - Sydney

We are looking for a senior solicitor with a background in construction to join our market leading Construction team that is part of our dynamic Property Construction & Environment group.

You will have:

- experience in drafting and advising on tender and contract documentation (for design, construction, operation and maintenance) for projects procured on both traditional (including project financed and PPP) and alliancing based structures
- excellent analytical, communication and research skills - to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice
- strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a key role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with our clients
- team focus - to mentor junior colleagues and ensure the effective utilisation of the group
- enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - presenting at industry related programs and managing strategic relationships and networks
- first rate experience of drafting documents (including construct only, D&C, DBOM, O&M, sub contracts, etc)
- experience with the interplay between construction documents and project finance documents will be an advantage.

You will have recognised construction experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a committed team.

About the team:

Our team advise on all facets of projects and the management and resolution of disputes in the building, engineering and resources sectors to deliver cost effective solutions to clients. We act for major contractors, prominent property and infrastructure owners in both the private and public sectors and the leading players involved in project/infrastructure financing. It is very important to us how our team works together. We work hard and have fun while delivering cost effective solutions to clients.

In this role you will work closely with Geoff Wood and other senior partners in the team.
