FJG is a mid-tier, 14 partner, Colchester firm with 120 legal and support staff which is looking for a senior commercial lawyer, with following, to push forward the firm’s strategy of growing its commercial services.

The firm has seen substantial growth in all of its core areas over the last ten years during which it has been one of the fastest growing firms in East Anglia. With 3 offices in the Colchester area, the firm’s commercial services are provided from modern, refurbished, out of town premises located on a business park adjacent to the main arterial road (the A12) into London. The offices are a few miles from the famous Dedham Vale area of outstanding natural beauty.

Colchester, the country’s oldest town famous for its roman heritage, is also one of fastest growing areas in England and has a vibrancy and dynamism rarely stressed in its public image.

FJG has a nationwide reputation in relation to rights related litigation, including international as well as domestic human rights work. Fundamentally a commercial firm, but with a philosophical commitment to the representation of vulnerable groups of clients. We are looking for a mid career, dynamic individual to develop and grow our existing commercial department. The department engages in general corporate, commercial property, and commercial litigation work but also offers niche services in private and commercial immigration work and in the education sector.
