A vacancy has arisen in our Litigation department for a senior solicitor to carry out a mixture of non-contentious and contentious construction work but primarily to develop the construction practice in York.
You will be expected to develop the firm's construction practice principally but not exclusively in Yorkshire. This will involve experience and skill in business development. Help and assistance will be given by the Construction team in the Newcastle office as required but the aim will be to develop a stand-alone team in the medium term servicing the firm's expanding construction practice in this area.
It is anticipated that non-contentious and possibly contentious work will be undertaken as part of the development of the team with assistance from the Newcastle office as needed.
You should have at least 6 years' PQE in construction law and substantial experience of business development.
