This is a new position that has arisen and will involve working closely with the Head of HR at this friendly mid sized law firm. You would be involved in all aspects of his role – operational and strategic – and the role will be key in providing a seamless service on matters that involve a number of different departments.
Part of this role includes assisting in managing new partner recruitment, building knowledge about senior associates and their career aspirations and developing partner candidate lists. You would also be involved in project based work such as salary surveys and benchmarking exercises. Therefore strong relationship building skills are essential for this position.
In addition, you should possess strong technical skills to enable you to compile spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations and report on key HR matters such as headcount, turnover and secondments.
Due to the high level that this role is working at, it may suit a qualified lawyer who has opted for a career change to HR, or an HR professional who has extensive project based experience.
