Our Personal Injury Team advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims relating to fatal accidents, catastrophic injuries, rehabilitation, employer liability, product liability, sports injuries, aviation injuries, occupational stress, repetitive strain, occupational cancers, new diseases, noise- induced hearing loss and severe road traffic accidents. Services cover both high value specialist claims and smaller, less complex ones. In addition to this, the team provides advice on fraudulent claims and coverage disputes.

Acting as a first point of contact for designated clients you will be building relationships with client contacts at all levels, and your responsibilities will include obtaining and drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conducting face to face negotiations, preparing schedules of damage in high value claims and participating in marketing and client training events.

You will have 0 – 2 years' post qualified experience, ideally in the field of either disease/casualty litigation, with strong academic qualifications (a law specific degree is not essential and in fact a scientific or commercial degree may be useful in this role).


Experience of working in a commercial environment would also be an advantage.

Within this role you will need excellent commercial awareness with an interest in broader business issues, to be able to identify market trends and provide commercially rounded advice to clients viewing things from a business perspective.You will be a team player and have a flexible approach with an ability to adapt to rapid change, both internally and in the context of clients' businesses.
