Our Personal Injury Team advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims relating to fatal accidents, catastrophic injuries, rehabilitation, employer liability, product liability, sports injuries, aviation injuries, occupational stress, repetitive strain, occupational cancers, new diseases, noise- induced hearing loss and severe road traffic accidents. Services cover both high value specialist claims and smaller, less complex ones. In addition to this, the team provides advice on fraudulent claims and coverage disputes.
Within this role you will be handling a varied workload in accordance with client sexpectations and with an appropriate level of supervision. You will act as the point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.
You will exercise full compliance with Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.
You will support marketing and business development activity within the team eg attending marketing events and client training.
You will also build an awareness of the Firm's other services. Build effective internal and external networks.
You will maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications and exceeding Law Society CPD requirements
Ideally you will be a newly qualified solicitor or equivalent with a demonstrable interest or previous experience in the practice area.
You will have excellent relationship and client handling skills. Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues. Able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency, combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
You will have the ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an ‘academic' approach to legal issues.
You will be team and change oriented with a positive, flexible approach towards the implementation of new initiatives.
