Solicitor - 0-2 pqe - Job Description

Our Personal Injury Team advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims relating to fatal accidents, catastrophic injuries, rehabilitation, employer liability, product liability, sports injuries, aviation injuries, occupational stress, repetitive strain, occupational cancers, new diseases, noise- induced hearing loss and severe road traffic accidents. Services cover both high value specialist claims and smaller, less complex ones. In addition to this, the team provides advice on fraudulent claims and coverage disputes.
You will be working within a team of 10 and under the supervision of a partner, the role will entail handling a case load of mainly employers' liability claims for insurers including some asbestos litigation. There will be opportunities for regular client contact.

This role represents an opportunity for a recently qualified lawyer to gain experience in these areas or for a more experienced assistant to develop expertise.
Ideally you will be a qualified solicitor with up to 3 years PQE and have a strong academic background, along with a passion for injury litigation.

Defendant experience is essential and some experience of disease litigation preferable.

Within this role you will need excellent communication skills and experience of negotiating settlements of injury claims are required.
