NQ Solicitor - Job Description

The Insurance Property Damage team based in Birmingham is a part of the Commercial and Property Risk Group and provides solutions to the insurance property damage sector. Our specialist team of a Partner, 3 Associates and 10 Solicitors provides expert and practical advice for a number of major insurers over a range of areas: Public Liability / Property Damage claims, Professional indemnity claims and Property subsidence.

Within this role you will be working within the subsidence recovery team. This includes predominantly claimant work but includes some defendant claims in the following areas, recoveries against tree owners for damage caused to insured property; applications to the local authority to remove tree preservation orders; obtaining injunctions to force the removal of trees; obtaining recoveries through the lands tribunal; mining claims; and landslip claims.

Ideally you will be a newly qualified solicitor, with a good understanding of general contract and tort essential.
You will need a concern for quality and attention to detail, and it would be helpful if you have experience of an insurance or property related discipline, but this is not essential as we are willing to re-train the candidate in property damage law.

Beachcroft is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from every sector of the community. We also welcome direct applications. If this opportunity sounds of interest to you, please send you CV to us. Your application will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
