Solicitor, Dispute Resolution - Perth - Job Description

We are looking for a mid-level solicitor with a background in insolvency to join our leading Dispute Resolution team. This rare opportunity will see the successful applicant working on a broad range of general commercial and insolvency litigation, and providing advice to high level clients across Australia.

To succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- excellent analytical, communication and research skills - to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice;
- strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability;
- team focus - to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships;
- self managed and have enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities, such as presenting at industry related programs and being involved in strategic relationships and networks;
- first rate experience in drafting documents (including writs, statements of claim, default judgements, defences, witness statements, affidavits, deeds of company arrangement, moratorium deeds, settlement agreements etc); and
- a strong team focus with well developed people skills and the skills necessary to support junior colleagues in the group.

In this role you will play a key role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with our clients and it is essential that you have recognised litigation experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.

About the team:

In this role you will work closely with Beau Deleuil, Partner, and Larissa Strk-Lingard, Senior Associate.

Working closely together is vital to the success of our team. We regularly work with specialists from other practice groups and and use sophisticated electronic tools to assist us. Provide excellent opportunities for our solicitors to Travel, client management and post-graduate study opportunities are encouraged to ensure our solicitors are developed to their fullest potential.

Our workload is varied and interesting, we act in most of Australia’s large and complex commercial and regulatory disputes, investigations and public inquiries. When a judgment is handed down or a successful outcome achieved outside the courts, you will have a real sense of accomplishment knowing that you were part of the team putting the case together.
