Our client, a Global and award winning law firm, are looking to recruit a Finance Director to oversee the entire Finance function across the EMEA region. As the EMEA Finance Director, you will manage the financial function from a strategic standpoint and also oversee all operational initiatives.



This role is a number one position in London covering the London/EMEA region and will report directly to the Global Chief Finance Officer as well as work closely with the Firm's Regional Chief Operating Officer. The role is an exciting position and will offer someone the opportunity to really shape the Finance function across EMEA. The Firm have recently undergone a restructure so there will be a focus on integrating the team as well as embedding new processes/systems and ensuring that the Firm are compliant from a Finance perspective in each of their jurisdictions.


This will suit someone who has excellent leadership skills but is also used to working as part of a global management team. The role will have responsibility for all (strategic and non-strategic) financial functions and initiatives in the region and through the Firm's shared services centres, including:

· Pricing & Inventory management

· Budgeting & financial projections

· Tax planning

· Financial modelling, analysis & reporting

Provide support to the firm's global Finance Department areas
Actively promote the coordination between finance and the firms other functions to work towards meeting the firm initiatives across the EMEA region,
Ensure the firm's compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules,
Suggest and implement improvements to financial systems and processes and liaising with auditors and other advisors.


Ideally, The EMEA Finance Director will be educated to degree level and ACA/ACCA qualified with sound commercial awareness and up to date knowledge of SARs and VAT. In addition our client requires the successful Finance Director candidate to have previous law firm background and an adaptable, flexible and solution driven approach. Able to respond in a timely manner to Barristers’ individual aged debt issues and queries.

You will be an experienced Credit Controller from the professional services, ie. law, accountancy, ‘Big 4’.

Experience of Chambers will be an advantage. Able to commit to a 6-month contract.

A thriving top 100 law firm with a growing reputation and headcount is looking to recruit a Legal Cashier Supervisor into its London office to manage its legal cashier team. This role reports directly into the Finance Director.

The main responsibility of the role is ensuring the performance of the team adheres to the cashiering team's agreed service levels, performing daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations on the firm's client, office, deposit and deputyship accounts and the administration and reconciliation of petty cash. It also involves monitoring that Chaps, Bacs and cheque requests are administered in a timely and accurate manner, the client and office bank accounts are correctly managed on a daily basis and ensuring all receipts/payments have been correctly processed. This is a hands-on role and the successful applicant would be expected to cover the full spectrum of cashiering, billing and purchase ledger duties when required. The managerial aspect of the position requires someone to supervise the work-flow within the team, distributing and prioritising workload for the team members and providing help and support where necessary.

Applicants should have extensive legal accounts experience and be able to demonstrate previous managerial roles where they have lead teams of at least four individuals. It requires someone with a practical approach who is happy to get involved in the transactional work as and when required and be happy to lead from the front when the workload requires it. Previous experience of using either Aderant or Elite Enterprise is essential as are strong Excel skills. Given the nature of the work a strong working knowledge of the Solicitor Accounts Rules are also a pre-requisite and may be tested as part of the interview.

This mid sized international firm, based close to Holborn, have a need for a legal biller to join a very stable team to provide an efficient billing service to the firm.
