One of our clients, a leading company in their field with an international presence, is currently seeking a Legal Advisor/Legal Counsel to join their In-House legal department based in Southampton.

You will be a self-motivated and forward thinking professional with solid experience in commercial contracts coupled with the ability to think on your feet and offer a proactive approach to your work method.

The main responsibilities and duties include:
-Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and other legal documents
-Responsible for contract amendments, contract risk assessments and preparation of correspondence to clients
-Responding to internal legal queries, advising on appropriate contracts and other ad hoc legal queries
-Responsible for leading or assisting in the contract negotiations with the client or the client’s representatives
-Preparing contract and legal information guidelines and forms

This role is ideally suited to a Lawyer with a minimum of one year PQE gained within an In House legal department or from a reputable Law Firm, although this is only a guide hence does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
