My client is looking to recruit a Legal Assistant (Paralegal) or Legal Executive to their team that has an emphasis on Landlord and Tenant work and acting for clients in the retail sector.

The work will involve primarily acting for Tenants but will also include acting for landlords and dealing with general commercial conveyancing transactions.

* Leasehold transactions including drafting and negotiating commercial leases for both Landlords and Tenants.
* Dealing with due diligence work involved in commercial conveyancing transactions including title checks, searches and enquiries.
* Drafting and negotiating Landlord and Tenant documents such as Licenses to Assign/Underlet, Deeds of Variation, Licenses to Occupy, Tenancies at Will etc.
* Dealing with commercial conveyancing transactions such as acquisitions or disposals of freehold property.
* Drafting and negotiating lease renewals for both landlords and tenants.
* Providing support in relation to other aspects of work undertaken in the team.
* Providing all our clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm's procedures.
* Maintaining and improve relations with existing clients and spot opportunities for business development and enhancement of the current services we offer.

The ideal candidate:
* Commercial property experience in all or some of the above is essential.
* High standards of client service essential.
* Excellent communication skills - high volume of interaction via the telephone.
* Experience using extranets and spreadsheets would be an advantage.
* Good IT skills. Strong Excel skills would be an advantage.
* Enthusiastic with the ability to work within a team framework.
* A desire to learn and develop legal skills in the area of Commercial Property/Landlord & Tenant work.

The role would suit an experienced legal assistant or legal executive.
