A highly prestigious law firm near Victorai is looking to to recruit an IT Training and Helpdesk Analyst to join the three strong IT department who support the 100 fee earners and 75 support staff based in London.

You will be responsible for delivering training to new and existing staff on the firm’s various information systems through classroom sessions, group demonstrations and one-to-one coaching.

You will also be responsible for taking and resolving helpdesk calls, escalating issues to colleagues or third party suppliers as appropriate.

Your duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• To ensure that the Helpdesk phone and mailbox are monitored and calls updated in the Helpdesk mailbox.
• To provide prompt and effective first line support and troubleshooting to users requiring the assistance of the IT Department.
• To assign support problems to relevant individuals for further action or where escalation is required.
• To follow up outstanding support calls.
• To help manage the various user directories (e.g. Exchange, Active Directory, Docs, Voicemail, phone system, etc) being jointly responsible for adding and deleting users to and from the system.
• To provide in-house IT training for all new employees.
• To evaluate and provide on-going IT training for existing employees.
• To design and implement an IT Training programme for all new software being rolled out to the firm, using external suppliers where appropriate, producing clear documentation and recommendations on users’ training needs and best practice.
• To keep all IT Training courseware up to date.
• To identify where additional training is required, get feedback on training provided and provide the opportunity for users to raise IT related issues.
• To maintain records of training attended and draw up individual training plans.
• To organise and co-ordinate the use of external training resources when needed.
• Promote the use of existing software and identify ways its use can be improved.
• To support the production of mail merges to printing stage.
• To assist in the duplication of electronic records on CD/DVD media.
• To carry out any other suitable project work allocated by the Head of IT.

You will ideally have a background within a law firm and will have experience in:
Docs Open, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Elite Enterprise, Carpe Diem, Deltaview, Internet Explorer, Oyez Forms and HubbardOne.

You will be service delivery oriented and able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As well as the administration of Active Directory and Exchange, the Support Analyst will assist in the following areas of work:

- Management, operational effectiveness and data security of the firm’s computer systems, data networks, telecommunications systems, audio-visual facilities and electronic office equipment (e.g. photocopiers, fax machines and dictation systems);

- Desktop support to the firm’s IT user base;

- Systems administration of the firm’s network systems and components;

- Undertaking the tasks of any other member of the IT Department where required to do so by reason of staff absence or in an emergency.
