This international law firm is looking for a BD Assistant to join their busy BD & Marketing team. This role will report into the BD Manager and work with both the UK and international offices.
As BD Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager in the delivery and implementation of the team’s marketing and BD plan and all relevant marketing activities falling out of the plan. You will also produce marketing collateral for conferences and events and assist with submission documents for legal directories and awards.
The successful candidate will either come from a similar background within legal or professional services or have recently graduated with strong academics and a keen interest in BD. You will be degree qualified or equivalent and be confident in dealing with partners and senior managers.

Based at a commercial London Law firm, the Business Development and Marketing Administrator supports a wide range of activities undertaken by the Business Development team.
As Business Development and Marketing Administrator, you will format marketing materials to meet brand and corporate identity guidelines, prepare electronic mailings for newsletters and briefing notes, generate reports from the mailing system and ensure marketing materials are made available around the firm both electronically (through the firm’s intranet) and in hard copy format in display areas around the firm.
You will also update the firm’s website as requested, assist the Business Development and Marketing Assistants in organising and running client events and support the wider team in delivering against its annual objectives.
This role will suit a recent graduate who is interested a Marketing and Business Development role within the professional services sector. You will be bright, energetic and demonstrate a proactive approach when dealing with tasks. Our client is an international law firm with 21 offices across the globe and currently has over 1000 staff. The firm has won many awards over the years including International Law Firm of the Year.

They are now looking to hire a recent graduate with a degree in a finance/business related topic to join them in this role with full training and support to study either CIMA or ACCA.
You will join a team that is responsible for global reporting, accounting and control responsibilities, budgeting and working capital management.

Responsibilities
Assist with the review of fee income, headcount, expenditure and capex budgets.
Produce Office and Practice Group reports for review meetings and other ad hoc reporting.
Prepare fee earner budgets.
Assist the Group Reporting Accountant with ad hoc budget and forecast tasks.
Produce monthly WIP and lock up analysis and graphs.
Assist with the preparation of reports for use in monthly office business reviews.
Prepare the weekly group exposure and time rejection error report.
Maintain and provide analysis on the monthly cash report – actual vs target.
Assist the International Working Capital Manager with ad hoc tasks.
Candidate Profile
Recent graduate with a finance/business related degree.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of Excel at an advanced level (you will be tested).
