An international law firm in Birmingham is currently recruiting for an IT Solicitor to join their highly regarded team.
The successful applicant will handle IT and outsourcing matters as well as some commercial work.
Working for our client, you will have access to an enviable range of clients from major organisations to SMEs. They are looking for someone who has a strong academic background and ideally, previous IT, data protection and commercial experience.
Candidates who have around 2-4 years PQE are likely to have the right level of knowledge/experience to undertake the role, however, this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant knowledge/experience.

You will work within a large legal team with an international remit.
You will advise on legal issues relating, in the main, to the procurement of software for use in the company's products.
You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating IT related contracts, including software licences, software development and related software support and maintenance services.
There will be additional non-IT related commercial contracts within the scope of this role.
Our client is looking for a qualified lawyer from an In House or Private Practice background with commercial contracts experience.
You must be able todemonstrate experience working on commercial contracts that relate to IT, including software agreements, software development and related support and maintenance services.
You should have between 2 and 6 years experience and should have gained your experience at a national practice or regional practice with a strong corporate and commercial history. In House experience is desirable but not essential.

JOB TITLE: Commercial IP/IT Partner

THE ROLE:
This is a role which requires you to hit the ground running and where you in genuine charge of your practice area.
