Our Client is one of the UK’s top 100 law firms, with a strong reputation for both commercial and private client work. They have expertise in undertaking complex corporate and property transactions, as well as commercial, tax and trust matters and disputes.

They are looking to hire a Legal Cashier on a 6 month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities include:

Transfer funds from and to various banking institutions

Keying electronic payments on Dotnet (BACS, CHAPS and international payments)

Actively monitor the main transactional accounts via Barclays on line banking systems

Checking and verifying Dotnet transactions

Chasing fee earners/ partners for paperwork for unposted receipts

On a daily, weekly and monthly basis to produce bank reconciliations for the main transactional accounts

Ensure all filing is up to date and filed accordingly

Ensure money laundering regulations are complied with

Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years previous experience of working in a law firm

GCSE / A level results in English and Maths is a must

Previous sound legal cashiering experience

ILFM qualification would be desirable

Strong organisational skills

Working knowledge of SAR

Highly numerate

Excellent communication skills

Experience of CMS (Aderant Expert) & Barclays Internet Banking (BIB) is essential

Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
