An excellent opportunity has arisen at an award winning firm for a paralegal to assist on both litigation and transactional matters on a 12 month FTC.
The firm has a broad practice area, offering all corporate commercial areas of law, but to a specific client base. They are leaders in their field and boast a number of awards. There are only two paralegals for the whole firm which means there is a wide variety in the work undertaken. They also do not have trainees so the level of the work will be akin to trainee level when required.
The firm is seeking a candidate who has excellent academics, a minimum of a 2.1 in undergrad and at least a commendation in the LPC. For this paralegal role, the LPC is a non negotiable requirement. On top of the academic requirements the firm also requires someone with paralegal experience, ideally this will be from a city firm, but they are flexible to smaller or regional firms as long as the academic requirements are met.
This role would suit a paralegal who enjoys the technical aspects of a paralegal role. It is unlikely to be client facing, so someone who enjoys the detail, with excellent research, organisational and attention to detail would be a good fit for this role. This role is a 12 month FTC so may suit a future trainee starting in March or September 2018. The hours are standard 9-6pm so will offer an excellent work life balance before commencing the training contract.
The firm is sociable and although they do not offer training contracts are very supportive and will give assistance to those applying elsewhere. Previous candidates who have been in this role have gone on to secure training contracts at a silver circle firm and a US firm.
