*Head of Compliance*Shanghai* 10 + PQE*

Our client is a truly global communications solutions provider and one of the largest innovation and technology powerhouses in the industry. A unique opportunity now exists for a Compliance Counsel to be a dynamic part of the China business supporting the business operations and activities of a global giant. You will take an integral and leading role across the business in China and will hold a front facing role interacting with all levels of the organisation.

Based in Shanghai, the position will provide critical, proactive, strategic support in respect of all compliance issues in China, as well as in countries outside of China where the company conducts business. You will manage and provide overall oversight, coordination and support for the development and execution of the ethics and compliance program consistent with overall corporate objectives. You will interact with all levels of management acting as a trusted consultant in handling issues.

The ideal applicant will above all have a passion for, and a personal commitment to, ethical conduct and integrity in business. Prior experience of handling a similar compliance focused position would be highly valued, though applicants coming from a generalist legal background, with hands on compliance & ethics experience and a real interest in the area are welcome to apply. Our client will also consider non-legally qualified applicants, though an excellent academic background and at least 8-10+ years' of relevant experience are required. Extensive China experience, as well as fluent Mandarin and English language skills, are required for this position.
