GDPR continues to influence recruitment in the legal profession

Demand for Data Protection and Regulatory legal professionals is on the up, with searches of the TotallyLegal CV database in these practice areas showing month-on-month increases of 65% and 32% respectively. Meanwhile, the closely linked Risk and Compliance job title saw month-on-month searches increase by 100%.

It appears that the onerous legal burden of GDPR compliance has created opportunities for those specialising in Compliance or Data Protection.

What does this mean for you? Compliance is a burgeoning area of law applicable to many industries including Financial Services and Healthcare, as well as Data Protection. As new regulations continue to be implemented and stricter controls put in place, the need for specialist legal professionals will persist.
