Legal Jobs in Healthcare are rising steadily

Legal jobs in the healthcare sector are on the up. According to the TotallyLegal March Inventory Report, the number of live jobs in healthcare has increased 97% year on year.

This rate of progression has been steady since late 2018, with healthcare sector jobs rising by 36% since December alone. Recruiter CV searches for healthcare lawyers and legal professionals have also gone up by 75% since last month.

The March data also showed that live jobs in the field of Mental Health have gone up by 54% year on year, and 14% month on month. Additionally, jobs in the PI and Medical Negligence sector have also experienced a 4% increase.

As well as the increase in volume of jobs, statistics from the 2018 Audience Insight Report revealed that legal professionals working in the Healthcare sector experienced the second biggest jump in annual salary.

Average earnings rose from £56,590 in 2017 to £77,000 in 2018, representing a 36% increase.

This is certainly a practice area to watch out for.
