General Counsel

TotallyLegal are proud to be sponsoring the 16th annual Economist Events’ General Counsel Summit. This fantastic event is taking place at the Biltmore – Mayfair, on November 7th 2019.

About the Event

In our current climate of uncertainty surrounding continued Brexit negotiations, preparing for the future is a more difficult task than ever.

The Economist Events’ General Counsel Summit addresses changing expectations and mounting demands faced by in-house legal departments, with the aim to propose compelling solutions to these issues.

The topics covered in the conference include dealing with the impact of Brexit on your business, conflicting demands of multiple regulators on business operations and ethical conflicts and decision-making.

Speakers include the former Lord Mayor of London Fiona Woolf, recognised leadership consultant Ciaran Fenton and Emma Bate, Director of legal services at the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

In addition, there will also be presentations from General Counsel of major corporations including BAE Systems, Coca-Cola, Nestle and NBCUniversal.

As well as panel debates and presentations from renowned industry experts, there will be several opportunities to network with more than 160 General Counsel and senior business lawyers from leading organisations.

Last year’s attendees described the event as “excellent, thoroughly enjoyable and thought-provoking,” and a “very good forum for insightful and progressive debate as to the role, operation, development and measurement of the GC and legal team.”

The event is open to all, however there is a discounted rate for existing General Counsel and Legal Directors. To register and find out more, visit the official Economist Events website.
