Senior Legal Counsel - Banking- In-house - Financial Services

A leading Financial Services company based in Birmingham are looking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel to join their busy Legal department.

The role of the Senior Legal Counsel -

Provide legal advice, guidance, support to the UKCredit Card and Loan Business. 

Ensure all the group's exposures to any legal risk is managed effectively.

Work closely handling projects to ensure all legal issues are handled correctly.

To be considered and be a trusted adviser to the company by ensuring that commercial and practical legal advice is communicated throughout the teams.

Advise on ever changing financial regulations internally. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with decision-making senior management.

Provide prompt, commercial, practical and sometimes complex legal advice to the Credit Card and Loan department within the UK

The ideal Senior Legal Counsel will possess the following:

Experience working in relevant environment either in-house or private practice.

UK qualified lawyer

Past experience working within a compliance/ regulatory role would be an advantage

Previous experience of working with projects, making complex decisions with senior board members.
