Reporting Accountant (3 month FTC)

We are recruiting for one of the world’s leading global law firms. This firm has offices in over 40 countries and employs approximately 4000 lawyers. 

Their City-based office is now seeking a Reporting Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting team on a 3 month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate must be able to develop strong relationships within the department and with internal clients, be responsive and have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Providing assistance to the Financial Accountant in the preparation of the annual LLP and Service Company accounts, and assisting with the audit

Preparation of the monthly headcount report

Preparation, and processing, of journals

Monthly reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts

Preparation of quarterly VAT returns 

Assistance with the preparation of all financial information for the Firm

Preparation of standard and ad-hoc performance reports

Preparation of monthly and quarterly surveys

Liaising with Global Finance regarding queries from overseas

Assisting non-financial team leaders in understanding and using financial information

Build close relationships with counterparts in other practice support departments to provide a co-ordinated service to fee earning teams

Candidate Profile 

ACA, CIMA or ACCA part or full qualified

Reporting accounting experience, preferably within professional services

PC literate, including excellent working knowledge of Excel. Macro skills preferable

Experience of data mining information in order to answer queries from various reports

Client service orientated

Respects and enjoys the diversity of cultural, social and academic backgrounds found in the Firm
