Locum Education Solicitor

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Education Lawyer to join a Local Authority in East Anglia, commutable from Cambridge. This contract is offered on a part-time basis over 3 days for an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of further extension.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience specialising in Education law, ideally gained within Local Government. Experienced Lawyers with a Private Practice background and with the relevant experience will also be considered.

The successful candidate will have experience dealing with a wide range of education matters, specifically Special Educational Needs cases, including existing tribunal cases.

The caseload will consist of a variety of matters including:

• SEN matters & tribunals
• School Admissions and Appeals
• Transport matters
• School Exclusion Appeals

Additional experience dealing with immigration matters and adult social care would be advantageous.

A rate of £30 - £40 per hour, dependant upon experience is offered.
