Assistant Tax Manager
Are you looking to make a move in-house and broaden your tax and business skills? We are looking for a tax professional for a mixed and varied role that incorporates Partnership Tax, Personal Tax and Corporate Tax, with both a UK and International focus.
If you have experience or a keen interest in one or more of these areas, this could be the role for you - we need someone who is resourceful, professional and very keen to learn. Whether this is your first in-house role or a step up from a current position, we are offering the chance to work in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment with daily exposure to Senior Finance professionals and fee earners.
Our client is a leading international law firm with over 50 offices spanning the globe. They have nearly 4000 lawyers across Europe, North & Latin America, Asia, Middle & Far East and Australia. Their London based accounts department provides a professional service to the international practice.
Ideally you will be qualified or part-qualified with CTA, ACCA/ACA (or overseas equivalent). You will be confident and able to express yourself: the role will require you to work closely with other Finance professionals in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle-East, in order to deliver a quality and integrated service to the firm’s stakeholders.

Preparation and review of partnership profit share calculations, tax reserving, distribution and partner communication
Partnership tax computation including double tax relief claims
Corporation tax computations for the Partnership’s UK service company
Partner drawings and distributions
Maintenance and reconciliation of Partner tax reserve accounts
Liaison with overseas advisors and Finance Controllers to ensure timely income & corporation tax compliance
Support Finance Team colleagues with withholding tax management and recovery
Support Finance Team colleagues with international projects and initiatives (new office openings, etc.)
Dealing with queries relating to employment tax and VAT
ACA/ ACCA/ CTA qualified with solid experience in a professional environment
Practical experience of income and corporation tax returns
Ability to interact with senior stakeholders in a professional and eloquent manner
Self-review, discipline and intellectual curiosity
Advanced Excel skills
