Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal

A busy Local Authority based in the Northern Home Counties, are currently recruiting for a paralegal to join their Adult Social Care team. The position is offered on a locum basis for a minimum period of 3 months, with the possibility of further extension dependent on workload.

The successful candidate will need to be confident and able to hit the ground running with the role, providing support to the team dealing with a range of social care matters including but not limited to mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, Court of Protection and vulnerable adults.

The duties of the role will include:

• Supporting the team and the Solicitors with Adult Social Care Proceedings
• Court of Protection applications
• Interviewing witnesses and attending Court when required
• Preparing court bundles, drafting applications, briefing counsel and advising the client department
• Dealing with complex administrative tasks

This role offers an attractive rate of £140-170 per day depending on experience.
