IP Lawyer

Intellectual Property Solicitor sought to join global manufacturing and engineering business as their lead Intellectual Property Lawyer for Europe.

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has been created for an IP lawyer to join a global manufacturing and engineering business who will be responsible for IP all matters across Europe.

We are looking for an IP Lawyer to use their experience in an environment where technology and the resulting IP is at the heart of the business. Reporting into the Director of Legal Affairs Europe, and working as part of an established and cohesive legal team, you will:

· Assist in the management, protection, exploitation and strategic direction of our IP portfolio encompassing advising on; patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright law and associated litigation;

· Work closely with the technical, legal and management teams to balance legal and commercial aspects of product development and strategy;

· Work closely with inventors and outside counsel in preparing domestic and international patent applications; and

· Draft and negotiate various IP agreements relating to development, licensing, technical services, and non-disclosure and other agreements with an IP component.

As well as a thorough understanding of Intellectual Property law gained in a leading private practice law firm or in-house, you will ideally have experience of working with clients in the technology or engineering sectors.
