The team prides itself on its outstanding and long term relationships generated with its clients across the sectors. The team works mainly for employer clients and so this role is unlikely to appeal to a solicitor looking to represent employees bringing routine employment tribunal claims. The team does provide bespoke advice to employees, assisting them secure favourable new terms of contract or securing for them excellent severance terms or extricating them from cumbersome post termination restrictive covenants.

The candidate should enjoy providing commercial advice to business clients and should possess excellent inter-personal, written and telephone communication skills.

The firm is extremely friendly and much work is generated from cross departmental referrals so the candidate should be not only a good team player but of a sociable disposition and willing to work at generating good relations with colleagues throughout the business.

This role would apply to someone who enjoys the cut and thrust of employment litigation whilst maintaining an eye for detail for producing and marking up employment documentation ranging from contracts of employment, service agreements, employee handbooks, settlement agreements and employment provisions in corporate transactions.
