Our client, a leading US law firm have an opportunity for an innovative Compensation & Benefits Manager position to join the London HR team. Working closely with the HR Director and CEO, you will be the ambassador for new Initiatives and will drive through creative new salary structures and compensation packages as well as negotiating with benefits providers.

Responsibilities:

Support the Global Director Benefits & Compensation, Regional EMEA Human Resources Director, London Head of HR and other HR managers in the EMEA region for development and implementation of regional reward policies, processes and procedures, manage projects and programmes.

Responsible for the day-to-day hands on administration of the Flexible benefits and wellbeing programmes for partners and employees in Firm’s London office with a focus on client service, compliance, operational efficiency and vendor management. Flexible benefits programme includes Core cover such as Income Protection, Life Insurance, Pension and Private Medical Insurance as well as various voluntary benefits for partners, employees and their dependents;

Serve as subject matter expert in the provision of benefits related information/guidance to employees and partners in London.

ALL EMEA including London

Identify, implement and maintain schemes/services that are current, competitive and in compliance with legislative requirements while meeting the Firm’s goals for attracting and retaining talent;

Manage benefit providers, consultants and benefits administration provider in the development, plan design/pricing analysis of benefit programmes;

Work closely with benefit providers to ensure schemes/services meet partners and employees needs and supporting technology promotes a user friendly experience;

Maintain awareness of and analyze current and developing legislation/regulations affecting benefit plans in order to determine potential impact on the Firm;

Work closely with Compliance and Communications manager to develop robust, accurate and compliant communication materials for promotion of and description of all benefit programmes offered in local offices;

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess processes/procedures in order to improve, streamline and enhance accuracy through re-engineering or establishing new methodologies focused on continuous process improvement;

Lead projects such as RFPs for new providers as well as implementation of schemes, services and technology.

COMPENSATION

Oversee the annual review of market and best practice in local markets for employee compensation practices and programmes in EMEA;

Analyze new and emerging compensation trends designed to meet the needs of a changing and flexible workforce and provide consultative guidance to local HR;

Develop strong and effective team relationships with Regional Section Heads, Office Executive Partners, Global Mobility, Professional Development and the HR Shared Service Team;

Liaise with local and regional HR/office administrators when reviewing and setting appropriate salary levels;

Produce business cases for approval regarding requests for salary increases, sign-on bonuses, STI, LTI and other rewards;

Manage the various Compensation Review processes in EMEA.

Education & Qualifications:

Benefits Expertise – strong knowledge of EMEA benefit plan requirements and compliance.  Capability to apply it comprehensively with sharp focus on compliance, operational effectiveness and vendor management;

 Communication - strong verbal, written and presentation skills;

Critical Thinking – ability to utilize analytical skills to the research and effectively resolve complex issues and improve processes;

Customer Service –comfortable interacting regularly with partners, employees, peers and vendors in a positive and professional manner;
