Corporate Solicitor. Our client, a leading law firm in the South East, is looking to recruit a Corporate Solicitor to join their Legal 500 and Chambers ranked corporate team in West Sussex.

The corporate practice supports clients ranging from start-ups, to SMEs, owner managed businesses, and increasingly also includes companies quoted in the UK and/or internationally. Practice areas include all aspects of company law and corporate governance, merger and acquisition, private equity, banking, joint venture, LLP, partnership and advice on strategy for exit planning including advice in relation to admission to AIM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To be a member of the Corporate team which provides professional client services including:

• Re-financing companies
• Strategic advice
• Partnership and shareholder agreements
• Business acquisitions and disposals
• Share sales and purchases
• Acquisition finance
• Venture capital financing
• Management buy-outs and buy-ins
• Flotation and fundraising
• Corporate formation and reorganisation
• Confidentiality
• Advice on legal documents

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work under pressure, managing own caseload with supervision as well as working as part of a team
• Candidates with specialisms, for example banking, private equity and/or AIM work, will be of particular interest, as with the department's growth, some specialist focus is now possible
• Excellent academic background and relevant experience at a leading City or regional firm
• Solicitor with 0-4 years' PQE
