Junior Family Solicitor

Our client is a Merseyside based law firm with a 5 fee earner strong family department spread across its offices.

They are keen to recruit a Family Solicitor or Paralegal with between 1 and 3 years PQE (or equivalent) to work in its Wirral office. Applicant who are NQ level but are able to demonstrate good training or pre training contract experience will also be considered.

The role is to deal exclusively with private funded family work including divorce, pre-nuptial agreements and childcare related issues such as custody, non-molestation orders and child support.

Lawyers who currently undertake a mixed caseload of privately funded and publicly funded work will be considered for the role.

The firm is willing to offer a salary of up to £30,000.

Reporting to the Head of Family you will give responsibility, under supervision, of handling you own caseload of privately funded family cases and the opportunity to progress your own career in a friendly and supportive environment.

To be considered for this role you will have the following experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes;

• Qualified Solicitor with first rate family law experience
• At least 1 years PQE
• Ability to contribute to the development of the Family Law Department
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
• Experienced and proficient in the use of case management systems
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under own initiative

Salary: In excess of £26,000 for the right candidate
