About Clyde & Co

Clyde & Co is a dynamic, rapidly expanding global law firm focused on providing a complete legal service to clients in our core sectors. With over 1,800 lawyers operating from 45 offices and associated offices in six continents, we advise corporates, financial institutions, private individuals, and governments across a wide range of contentious and transactional matters. Our growth has been achieved by our enterprising ethos, drive and by our strategic objective: to be the leading international law firm in our key sectors of transportation, insurance, energy, professional practices, energy and trade and commodities. We have been successful because of our people and their commitment, expertise and ambition.

The Department

Our Employment Group has long been recognised by both Chambers and Legal 500 legal directories as leading providers of employment services. We provide straightforward, practical advice on domestic and international matters to employers and senior employees. We understand that employment issues often need a sensitive approach, but also appreciate the commercial needs of our clients. At the core of our practice is our litigation expertise; we are very experienced at managing high value and reputational claims in the Tribunals and the High Court, as well as managing large volumes of smaller claims. The team supports HR teams through day-to-day advisory work, including advice on intractable disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, redundancy programmes, outsourcing deals and other TUPE advice. We also regularly work alongside our corporate and commercial teams providing assistance on transactions where specialist employment law knowledge is an essential part of the successful completion of outsourcing deals, mergers and acquisitions.

At Clyde & Co we recruit according to competencies which are linked to our Career Development Framework. As an Associate, the post holder will be responsible for:

  • Identifying potential arguments, claims and solutions

  • Conversing with clients about industry-related issues and understanding client and commercial issues
  • Demonstrating experience of having conducted large volume disclosure exercises or subject access responses, with a good working knowledge of e-disclosure platforms
