Legal Counsel

A reputable magazine publishing company in central London are looking for a legal counsel to join the tight knit and collaborative legal team. Reporting into the Head of Legal, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing legal team of three people (2 lawyers and a paralegal) as Legal Counsel and be part of the transformation of the company into a digital business. You will be a key point of contact within both the commercial and marketing departments and across the organisation.

About the Legal Counsel role

It is also a great opportunity to join a creative and fun media environment and be part of the collaborative culture. The focus of the role will include reviewing a large variety of commercial contracts (including technology related agreements), legal and corporate projects, reviewing, negotiating and drafting template contracts, generally supporting the growth of the digital part of the business and providing first point of escalation EU data protection advice.

About you

• You will have 1-4 PQE* with training gained from a common law jurisdiction
• You will have 6 months or more of in-house experience (only intended as a guide)
• As this is a digital role, any technology related legal experience is desirable
