Senior Risk & Compliance Lawyer

Highly successful global law firm is looking to recruit a Senior Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join their busy London office. Working as a number two to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will support the partners and lawyers on a range of compliance, conflicts and regulatory issues. Key responsibilities for the Senior Risk & Compliance Lawyer will include developing, implementing and managing centralised conflicts resolution (analysis and clearance) across the London office dealing with conflicts issues arising under US and English law / SRA Handbook; reviewing and drafting risk and compliance policies and procedures; improving client and matter inception processes; liaising with the European offices over regulatory issues; assisting the Head of Risk & Compliance with delivering training; and supervising the junior members of the team.

Candidates for the Senior Risk & Compliance Lawyer position must be a qualified Lawyer and have recent experience of working within the Conflicts / Compliance function at an International law firm. You must have detailed knowledge of the SRA handbook, Anti-Money Laundering regime and the UK Bribery Act 2010. The ability to manage projects and implement changes to processes is required, along with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload. People management experience is preferred, and you must be a confident, team-player with excellent communication skills.
