Mental Health Solictor

Our client, a national law firm is looking to recruit an accredited Mental Health Solicitor to join their Mental Health department who have a wealth of experience and expertise.

As a Mental Health Solicitor you will deal with tribunal’s and related Mental Health law matters under legal aid contracts.

You will have responsibility to manage and develop a caseload of Mental Health cases under the firm’s contract’s with the Legal Aid Agency with minimal administration assistance.

You will assist the mental Health team in continuing to develop a Mental Health law presence for the firm as well as have proven local or regional connections and be prepared to maintain and develop these.

You will be an accredited Member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Tribunal Panel and have experience of representing patients detained under both civil and criminal sections of the Mental Health Act.

You will possess a thorough understanding of the content and application of the Legal Aid contract for Mental Health work and have confidence to develop your own case load via networking, marketing and business development.

Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage your own diary, work under pressure to deadlines and meet financial targets is essential.
