Your new role
As the "number two" to the company's Legal Director in Guernsey, you will use your dispute resolution expertise to advise the business on risk management, and to help maintain the integrity of the brand by resolving disputes before proceedings reach the courts. You will manage the managers of three different teams, including the dispute resolution and employment functions, using your excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to help the teams perform to the best possible level. Additionally you will build relationships with stakeholders, including joint venture partners, internal business units, suppliers and clients, all the while representing the brand in a professional and dedicated way.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a mid to senior level dispute resolution or commercial litigation lawyer, with both contentious and non-contentious experience. You will have trained at a top City firm, ideally with complementary in-house exposure. You will have strong commercial and business acumen, with a track record in advising businesses on risk, while guiding them through the disputes minefield to find resolutions outside the courts wherever possible. Knowledge of employment law, particularly in joint venture contexts would be of benefit. You will have demonstrable leadership skills and you will comfortable in a management role, liaising at all levels. Further, you will be happy to relocate to Guernsey
