Would you like to work as an In-House Governance Manager in a leading housing provider?
In this role, you will take on a wide remit of responsibilities split into company administration, board support and executive/senior management team support.
Reporting into the Group Director of Resources, your responsibilities will include:
Board Support:
-supporting Chair of the Board with recruitment/training and induction of board members
-organisation of board/committee meetings and distribution of agenda and papers
-minute-taking at minutes
-maintain effective relationship with board members, acting as the point of contact
-managing the board budget
Company Administration:
-ensuring Companies House is kept up-to-date with regulatory changes
-filing of the annual confirmation statement
-providing updates of relevant governance legislation
-preparation of annual statement of compliance based on applicable Code of Governance
Executive/Senior Management Team Support
-acting as the Direct Report to the Executive Assistant
-organisation of Executive Team/Senior Management
-advise and support Senior managers and executive team with data protection responsibilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to go in at a senior level and gain a range of experience across board support and subsidiary management. The role would be suited to someone with prior in-house and management experience. Knowledge of the housing sector and applicable legislation will also be advantageous. If you are ICSA qualified, this will be an advantage but support will be given and actively encouraged to those looking to enrol on the course.
Note that this role is an initial six month contract, which could extend to 12 months and thereafter turning permanent.
