Law Costs Draftsman (In-House) - Defendant L500 - Manchester

Opportunity for an experienced Law Costs Draftsman to join an in-house law costs department at a Legal 500 listed defendant law firm with a tremendous working environment, relaxed atmosphere and great team benefits.

You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a costs draftsman, ideally on the defendant side, however claimant experience will also be considered. A large proportion of work will be based on costs budgeting so prior knowledge and ability to deal with costs budgets is essential. You will primarily be dealing with RTA and EL/PL matters however there will also be the opportunity to deal with multi-track catastrophic injury work and high value claims. There is a caseload in place of circa 100 files and you will be drafting schedules, formal bills, drafting points of dispute, applications, perform detailed assessment hearings and undertake advocacy.
