Marketing Executive - Leading Barristers Chambers

Our client is one of the UK’s leading Barristers Chambers specialising in Commercial and Common Law.  Chambers is acknowledged by the legal directories as “leaders in their field” in each of its main practice areas and is seeking to appoint a suitable individual to the newly created role of Marketing Executive.

Working closely with the Practice Groups, Senior Managing Clerk and Senior Team Clerks, the individual will play a significant role in the implementation of Chambers’ business development and marketing strategies. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day administration of marketing activities and events.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a very active role in the on-going development of Chambers marketing and business development functions.

The Role

  • In conjunction with Senior colleagues and Members of Chambers, create, implement and help to drive Chambers’ marketing and business development strategies.
  • Prepare marketing plans and budgets, forward planning and monitoring of their progress.
  • Design, create and successfully deliver Chambers promotional events.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, including opportunities for external training and joint ventures.
  • Identify and act upon market trends and changes.
  • Help to define and successfully build on Chambers’ branding.
  • Website, maintenance and editing, proof read news and promotional materials for internal and external use.
  • Oversee and develop Oversee Chambers’ presence on professional social media platforms.
  • Effective use of databases, their maintenance and best use for reporting.

The Person

Suitable candidates will possess:

  • A marketing degree or equivalent and experience of business development and marketing in a legal or other professional services environment – experience in a Barristers Chambers is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience of strategic and practical business development and marketing, preferably gained within the professional services sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues, members of chambers and professional clients.
  • The ability to engage with and successfully influence others at multiple levels.
  • Able to take an idea from inception through to successful delivery.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach and able to use initiative and generate new ideas.
  • An eye for detail, including designing marketing and promotional materials to the highest standards.

The role is being offered with a competitive salary, to be negotiated but commensurate with the skills and attributes required for the position.
