2 x Private Client (International Trusts & Estates) lawyers 0 – 2 & 4+ years’ PQE SOMERSET

Strong Private Client department at this Somerset law firm requires two Private Client lawyers to join its International Trusts & Estates team – one of 0 to 2 years’ PQE and the other of 4 or more years’ PQE. Both appointees will become part of a growing sub-team within the Trusts and Estates department, focusing primarily on international work. You will also assist other fee earners in their work.as well as working on your own initiative, where it is appropriate and/or necessary for you to do so. Training will be given in the basic principles of Private International Law and thereafter you will learn the nuances and intricacies of the international work ‘on the job’, as well as taking part in other formal training, as and when required. 

Although the aim is for you to work exclusively on international matters, at any time you may also be expected to deal with matters which do not have an international element, including: domestic Wills, probate, tax, trusts, court of protection and lasting powers of attorney. You will also be involved in business development and marketing initiatives in order to promote the department.

To be considered, newly-qualified applicants must have undertaken a seat in Private Client law. Qualified applicants will already specialise in Private Client law.
