Childcare Lawyer

Childcare Lawyer required to join a local authority based in Greater Manchester for an initial 3 month period.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming Childcare team within an award-winning Local Authority. The work will predominantly involve providing advice on and conducting cases dealing with children's social services issues, care proceedings, and giving general advice to the client department.

They are looking for an experienced Childcare Lawyer who is able to take responsibility for a busy caseload. Due to the nature of the work, this Childcare Lawyer role may involve advocacy work when appropriate. Therefore it is important that the successful candidate has experience of conducting their own advocacy. The perfect applicant for this role will demonstrate experience in the following essential areas;

● Emergency applications
● Care Proceedings
● Adoption

Additionally, knowledge of adult social services would be desirable, as this would help to support the other area of work undertaken by the team.
