Clinical Negligence NQ-2yrs+ openings x 2, leading Bristol firm

Our client, a leading national heavyweight with major offices here in Bristol, has just announced they are looking to appoint potentially another two NQ to 2yrs+ level lawyers in to their market-leading Clinical Negligence team, so these are exceptional opportunities for candidates at an early stage in their career who are looking to forge the strongest possible career in this area.

The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to get involved with a varied and challenging caseload of high value defendant clinical negligence work, including on behalf of major clients such as the NHSLA and the MDU. This will include drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, liaison with the NHSLA, Trusts and other health bodies, conducting face to face negotiations and mediation of claims as well as preparing counter schedules of damages in high value claims. Critically for ambitious candidates at this level this is an environment where you will be given every opportunity to get involved and work 'hands-on' from day one but always with plenty of support, supervision and team structure around you so you learn and develop rather than worry and guess.

Our client is looking for a reasonable level of early Clinical Negligence experience gained with a well-recognised firm, and in particular any experience already gained of handling complex clinical negligence claims, including those involving birth and other catastrophic injuries is especially welcome. You will also possess excellent relationship and client handling skills and the ability to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues.
