A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Crime specialist to join a leading international Asset Manager as their interim Head of Financial Crime.

The role will entail managing the EMEA Financial Crime team and working closely with the Global Head of Financial Crime to maintain the current framework, particularly in relation to managing the risks around money laundering, sanctions, fraud, bribery and corruption (‘the four risks’), including involvement in setting local policy requirements and procedures and ensuring they are embedded within the relevant business areas in the relevant region.

The successful interim Head of Financial Crime will have responsibility for providing guidance and training across all four areas of risk to the business, as well as overseeing relevant audits, regulatory visits and examinations in relation to the same.

A key part of this assignment will entail support the firm’s risk function internationally, in particular forming solid relationships with stakeholders within the business across EMEA and, for example, supporting the Regional Head of Compliance and overseeing the implementation of the financial crime monitoring programme for the region.

The successful Head of Financial Crime will had proven experience in policy writing and an excellent understand of EU anti-money laundering regulations, along with team development and management skills. The ideal applicant will have experience in an equivalent role within Asset Management, but those with senior Financial Crime experience elsewhere will also be considered.
