A unique opportunity to join a top 50 law firm in their defendant Public Sector team who have extensive experience working with local authorities, police forces, fire authorities and NHS Trusts.
This role is specifically to provide legal advice to the police force in Surrey and East Sussex which has a high-profile as the compliance with the law, regulations and standards of performance are crucially important issues.
You will be acting on behalf of the police force, their claims handler and insurers protecting their interests. Its a busy caseload managing pre and litigated claims defending actions against the police, including providing legal advice on civil orders such as Anti Social Behaviour Orders, Sexual Offences Prevention Orders, Proceeds of Crime Act applications and Domestic Violence Protection Orders.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the public sector, a defendant background and have strong advocacy skills.
