The highly impressive Media, Brands and Technology team at this popular practice deals with the full range of contentious and non-contentious commercial work. The team is well known for their leading advertising and marketing practice, and they have been in the top tier of Chambers and Legal 500 for decades.

The team is an energetic and sociable group with an extremely impressive and varied client base predominantly in the marketing, media, retail and technology sectors as well as many household name brand clients. They provide a converged offering for a broad range of services across media, entertainment, IP, digital, technology, brand protection, outsourcing, e-commerce, and privacy law.

The practice continues to go from strength to strength and has a particular focus on growing their team through the recruitment of a mid-senior level hire. The team has a vibrant and friendly culture and personal fit is extremely important. As such, in addition to technical excellence and an aptitude for business development, suitable candidates must be team players and most importantly have a sense of fun! The firm is meritocratic and there are excellent long term prospects.

The primary focus of this role will be commercial and technology transactional work, with the opportunity to work with a number of partners across the team. You will also provide advisory assistance to clients as and when required. You will be the lead associate on most transactions and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage more junior lawyers and trainees working with you.

Experience of working on IT and/or business process outsourcing projects is required. Likewise, applicants should ideally be experienced in dealing with consumer, data protection and/or e-commerce matters. Knowledge of retail, leisure, technology, marketing and/or media sectors would be advantageous. Suitable candidates will have strong drafting and technical skills and have trained and gained experience at either a large or medium private practice law firm, or a niche commercial/technology practice. The firm has thriving offices in Oxford and Cardiff and there is the possibility, for interested candidates, of working (for a least some time) out of those offices.
