Compliance Officer - Qatar

My client is leading sovereign wealth fund seeking a Compliance Officer to provide the Legal Department with applicable securities regulations and compliance policies and to advise management on risks.

The Role
You will report to the Head of Compliance and be responsible for undertaking daily securities, monitoring operations, prepare regulatory disclosures/regulatory reports and file once approved. Assist in monitoring of personal account dealing for employees and monitor the Restricted List and company Information Barriers. You will assist the Head of Compliance in maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Program for all business activity and conduct the Compliance Monitoring Program.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years relevant industry experience gained from a major asset management (possibly investment banking) background. Must be educated to BA/BSc degree level (minimum) and be fully fluent in Business Level English. Must have hands-on working knowledge and use of the Charles River Development (CRD) compliance engine and the compliance module of FusionInvest (formerly: Sophis) in an asset management organisation. You must have a natural ability to manage and coach graduate trainees and be capable to work in other Compliance-related areas.
