In-house Lawyer with solid litigation experience required for a leading insurance provider in Croydon.

An unusual position for a senior lawyer with a specialist provider in the Greater London / Surrey area. Our client is a renowned company offering services to legal and other businesses throughout the country. The successful lawyer will manage a varied and demanding workload which may include:
Risk assessing proposals for cases;
Building strong relationships with clients;
Issuing quotations;
Managing a portfolio of existing commercial risks;
Managing and training the team on legal issues;
Undertaking research in the development of new products and;
Attending meetings internally and externally.
Prior experience supervising a team combined with first class interpersonal skills are essential for the position.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 5 years’ PQE.
You must have significant experience in Commercial Litigation.
You will have prior team management / supervision experience.
Additional expertise in personal injury and/or insurance would be highly advantageous.
An aptitude for business development is essential for the position.
