BD Executive (Intellectual Property) - International Law Firm
This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to join one of the largest international law firms as Business Development Executive (Intellectual Property) working with the international Intellectual Property group team deliver incisive and value-added marketing and business development support.
This role has a broad remit and the Business Development Executive (Intellectual Property) will be tasked with contributing to the IP Group BD planning process and execution of the business plan and initiatives for all parts of the IP practice, working with relevant partners internationally, fee earners and the wider BD team as appropriate. You will be responsible for identifying, prioritising and capitalising on all key business development opportunities and supporting the development of new product offerings, working with partners and BD managers to define the benefits of the new products and the most effective routes to market and driving implementation of plans and activities. The role holder will co-ordinate responses to new business pitches including the drafting of content. From a communications perspective, you will contribute to the formulation of internal and external communications strategies and will subsequently implement, ensuring best practice is observed and will also develop and maintain communications including factsheets, webpages and intranet pages, Event management will also constitute an important part of the role. The BD Executive (Intellectual Property) will work with fee-earners in the group to develop and coordinate client training and corporate hospitality programmes and co-ordinate profile raising activities aimed at strengthening the firm's reputation in Intellectual Property such as the identification of conference speaking and media profiling opportunities, involvement with trade bodies, and overseeing the project management of directory and award submissions as necessary.
Pre-requisites for the Business Development Executive (Intellectual Property) role include a good degree and a minimum of two years' marketing and business development experience in a legal or professional services environment to include identifying contributory material for pitches and managing the logistics of the pitch, project managing events from end-to-end with a low level of supervision and editing websites and intranet content.
