JOB: Private Client Solicitor
LOCATION: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
COMMUTABLE FROM: Ely, Bishop's Stortford, Thetford, Newmarket, Royston, Huntingdon, Peterborough, St Neot's
JOB TERM: Permanent
SALARY: £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join an expanding Legal 500 firm within the vibrant city of Cambridge. You will be working alongside the existing Partners with an impressive client base and an excellent reputation. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' post qualifying experience and ideally be a full member of STEP although funding to qualify will be provided for the right candidate. You will also need to have a flair for business development and be passionate about excellence in client care.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:-

-Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
-At least 3 years' post qualifying experience gained in private client work
-Able to demonstrate experience of Drafting of Wills
-Able to demonstrate experience of Administration of Estates
-Basic Knowledge of Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax applicable to individuals and Trusts
-Proven experience of preparing Deeds of Variation
-Inheritance Tax Rules including familiarity with reliefs, the relevant property regime and gifts with reservation of benefit
-Proficiency in Lasting Powers of Attorney
-Proficiency in Lifetime Estate Planning
-Experience of Court of Protection Work
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent time management to prioritise workload
-Proven track record of business development
-Have excellent attention to detail and good file management skills
-Excellent IT skill and in particular proficiency in MS Word and Excel
-Excellent grammar and numeracy

-Full Member of STEP
-Knowledge of drafting settlements - including Interest in Possession and Discretionary Trusts
-Familiarity with Probate Software
