Tax Litigation Associate (NQ-3 PQE)

An exciting opportunity has become available at a Legal 500 tier 1 ranked tax litigation practice for an associate at the NQ-3 PQE level to join their leading contentious tax team.

This large team advises clients on an array of contentious matters (but also provides a non-contentious offering as well) and boasts an expansive client base including international companies, large domestic companies, institutional investors and also a number of public sector bodies as well. The crux of the matters in which the new joiner will initially be involved in will be advising on preventative measures in order to avoid disputes with HMRC and, in such situations where those disputes do occur, how to manage the process and gain the most positive result possible for the client.

The new joiner will therefore have to have a strong understanding of direct and corporate tax issues, direct tax statute and the procedures involved that lead to successful conclusions for the strong client base. Such a candidate will have been exposed to contentious tax work at their City or strong regional practice. They will be comfortable working within a large team and have strong academics, excellent organisation skills and be able to communicate well with colleagues. Genuine progression opportunities and the chance to work on both major domestic and international tax matters is available.
